Erase round issuances in the EqDeal UX

Understand the destructive UX rollback and all of its downstream effects.

Last reviewed: 2026-08-25

Availability and scope

This action exists only in the authenticated EqDeal UX. Availability depends on the round and the user’s company access: ordinary investment-round controls are restricted to administrators, while eligible special-round controls can be available to editors. It is intentionally unavailable through the public API and MCP service.

Company cap table → Eligible issued round → Round actions → Erase issuances

What the action erases

  • All share and reserve issuances from the selected round.
  • All issuances from subsequent rounds.
  • Manual transfers included in the affected subsequent history.

What is not automatically restored

  • An indeterminate valuation that EqDeal previously determined automatically is not automatically reverted.
  • Interest transferred from an option pool to treasury is not automatically reverted.

Required review before confirmation

  1. Identify the selected round and every later round and transfer.
  2. Export or preserve the current cap table and supporting documents.
  3. Confirm that all downstream records are intended to be removed and can be reconstructed correctly.
  4. Coordinate with every administrator and integration so no concurrent company change is running.
  5. Confirm the destructive warning once. Wait for background processing and the company lock to finish.
  6. Rebuild the corrected history and reconcile stakeholders, valuations, treasury, contracts, and portfolios.
This cannot be undone

Erasing issuances is not a single-record delete. It rolls back a chain of ownership events and may require manual reconstruction of values that are not restored automatically.
